色彩 · 來自大自然的禮物 Colours · Gift from Nature

我們出生於不同的國家.雖然我們因此有著不同的文化背景，但是我們有共同的目標：無論作品的呈現結果如何，唯一不變的是作品原來的本質。我們所喜愛的和我們因此所做出的選擇才是作品最原始和最主要的本質。因此，無論人或事物，理解背後的原來本質才是最重要的。這也是我們想要一起進行關於天然色彩與創作的原因。

在這多姿多彩的世界中，我們總是能夠感受到色彩存在於生活中的美好。尤其在大自然中，那些色彩總是那麼地飽和、迷人。而這些來自生活、來自大自然的禮物，經過各種配方來進行色素的萃取後，轉化成為了藝術創作上永恆的美。

這項計劃旨在探討、研究：大自然、藝術創作與文化之間的關係。

- 大自然

透過採集當地的植物或礦物，進行色素的萃取與提煉，進而轉化成能為藝術創作上的顏料。其中的化學催化過程簡單易懂且能夠對當地生態環境擁有更多層面的認識。了解當地的原生植物與外來植物的差異、感受當地的氣候變遷、不同品種植物與當地生態環境中的平衡。

- 文化

在選取當地的植物作為主要創作材料的同時也形成了作品的地方特性，甚至在不同的國家，當地特有植物也含藏著不同文化上的意義。例如馬來西亞各個州屬擁有各自的代表植物：吉打州為稻米、檳城為檳榔樹；而不同國家也有代表與含義各異的國花：馬來西亞為大紅花，代表勇敢、生命力與繁衍力，五片花瓣代表五大國家原則。一些植物在當地文化或節慶上也扮演者不同角色：日本的山形花笠祭，舞者以手持鮮花裝飾的斗笠跳舞；馬來西亞的華人農曆新年以互送柑表示祝福大吉大利。植物不止在大自然中扮演著平衡其中的角色，同時間也在人們的生活文化中有著不同的重要性。

- 藝術創作

從一個單純的植物個體轉換到藝術創作的顏料，甚至是藝術作品本身，是藝術創作中一件美好且奇妙的事。綜合不同的因素與元素，加上個人的創作理念，進行的藝術創作有著多樣性與多元性。並且無形中形成了大自然、藝術創作與文化，三者之間的連接。

Both of us comes from different culture as we origin from different country. However, we share the same thought: the only thing that all the artworks are consistent is the principles and thoughts behind it despite the result of modeling. Our principle is to choose and do what we love. This is also the main reason we would like to do this collaborative project to create art with collected colour.

In this world, the existence of colours are wonderful. Colours are saturated and charmed especially in nature. It is the gift from the life and nature. It display the eternal beauty of art creation after the pigment extraction with variety of recipes.

This program aims to explore the relationship between nature, art and culture. The artwork is made through the extraction of pigments from the collected local plants and minerals. The process of extraction involved very simple and mild chemical reaction and thus will not cause damage to the surrounding. Also, it is a great way to explore about the ecological environment for instance the change of the seasons and the difference between the temperature and humidity through the local plants and minerals. This artwork created by the local plants and minerals will form a unique and significant characteristic. With all these, the connection between the nature, art and culture can be established.
